MASA PENGENALAN LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH (MPLS) UNTUK PESERTA DIDIK BARU SMP NEGERI 1 JAKEN
Jaken, 24 Juli 2024 – SMP Negeri 1 Jaken baru saja menyelesaikan kegiatan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) yang diadakan selama tiga hari, dari tanggal 22 hingga 23 Juli 2024. Acara ini diikuti oleh 190 siswa baru yang penuh antusiasme dan semangat untuk memulai perjalanan pendidikan mereka di tingkat SMP.
MPLS dimulai pada hari Senin dengan upacara pembukaan yang dihadiri oleh kepala sekolah, guru, serta para siswa baru. Dalam sambutannya, Kepala Sekolah SMP Negeri 1 Jaken, Bapak Slamet Suladi, S.Pd., M.Pd menyampaikan pentingnya kegiatan MPLS sebagai langkah awal untuk mengenal lingkungan sekolah dan membentuk karakter siswa yang disiplin serta bertanggung jawab. Beliau juga berharap agar para siswa baru dapat segera beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dan teman-teman baru mereka.
Pada hari pertama MPLS, para siswa diperkenalkan dengan berbagai fasilitas yang ada di SMP Negeri 1 Jaken. Mulai dari ruang kelas, laboratorium, perpustakaan, hingga lapangan olahraga. Para siswa juga diberikan pemahaman tentang tata tertib sekolah serta nilai-nilai yang dijunjung tinggi oleh SMP Negeri 1 Jaken. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa baru merasa lebih nyaman dan familiar dengan lingkungan sekolah mereka.
Hari kedua diisi dengan berbagai kegiatan yang melibatkan siswa baru dalam aktivitas kelompok. Para siswa diajak untuk mengikuti permainan dan lomba yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kerjasama, kreativitas, dan komunikasi antar siswa. Selain itu, ada sesi pengenalan ekstrakurikuler yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang berbagai kegiatan yang bisa diikuti oleh siswa selama mereka belajar di SMP Negeri 1 Jaken.
Pada hari terakhir MPLS, siswa baru mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mendengarkan cerita dan pengalaman dari siswa-siswa senior. Sesi ini menjadi ajang tanya jawab di mana siswa baru bisa menanyakan berbagai hal yang mereka ingin ketahui tentang kehidupan sekolah. Di akhir acara, dilakukan penutupan dengan pembacaan ikrar siswa baru dan pemberian kenang-kenangan dari sekolah kepada seluruh peserta MPLS.
Kegiatan MPLS di SMP Negeri 1 Jaken berjalan dengan lancar dan penuh semangat. Para siswa baru terlihat antusias dan bersemangat mengikuti setiap kegiatan yang telah disiapkan oleh panitia. Diharapkan, melalui kegiatan MPLS ini, siswa baru dapat lebih siap dan termotivasi untuk menjalani tahun ajaran baru dengan semangat belajar yang tinggi serta rasa kebersamaan yang kuat.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
